In certain scenarios, it may be necessary to exempt specific findings from further action or scrutiny due to various reasons such as false positives, acceptable risks, or mitigating controls in place. The exemption process allows users to mark findings as exempted, providing a means to document and manage exceptions within the Plerion Platform.

Initiating Exemption

To initiate an exemption for a finding, follow these steps: Navigate to the Findings Dashboard: Access the Findings Dashboard from the provided link: Findings Dashboard. Locate the Finding: Identify the finding that requires exemption from the list of findings displayed on the dashboard. Select Exempt Option: Click on the exemption option associated with the finding. This option is typically represented by an “Exempt” button or similar. Provide Reason: Provide a brief explanation or justification for the exemption. Include relevant details such as why the finding is being exempted and any mitigating factors that support this decision. Confirm Exemption: Confirm the exemption request, ensuring that all necessary information has been provided accurately. Please note that the exemption will take effect after the next integration scan.
