> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://docs.plerion.com/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Custom dashboards > Build dashboards from your findings, assets, vulnerabilities, and compliance data, and set them as the page people land on With **[Custom dashboards](https://app.plerion.com/settings/custom-reports)**, you build a page of widgets from your own data and set it as the page your team lands on when they sign in. A dashboard is a grid of up to 10 widgets. Each widget reports one figure or one breakdown, such as the number of failed findings or the integrations carrying the most. Name the dashboard, arrange the widgets, then email it on a schedule or assign it as someone's homepage. *** ## Building a dashboard `Add widget` opens a panel beside the canvas with two ways to add one: a list of ready-made widgets, and a `Build your own instead` link. The widget panel on a new dashboard ### Ready-made widgets Click one and it is added to the canvas. The panel lists: | Group | Widget | What it shows | | - | - | - | | Findings | Number of failed findings | The total, and how it has changed since last week | | Findings | Findings split by severity | Open findings grouped by severity | | Findings | Top integrations by open findings | The integrations with the most open findings, worst first | | Findings | Checks you choose | Checks you select, listed even when they have no failed findings | | Findings | Findings against their SLA | Breached, near breach, and within SLA | | Vulnerabilities | Critical exploited vulnerabilities | Critical CVEs being exploited in the wild | | Assets | Publicly exposed assets with admin privileges | Assets reachable from the internet that hold administrative permissions | | Other | Summary | Twelve headline numbers, from risks to compliance score | | Other | Risk score | Your score out of ten, its trend, and what to fix first | | Other | Focus here | The few issues worth acting on first | | Other | A block of text | Context for the people reading the dashboard | The `Other` group starts collapsed. ### Build your own instead This link opens a form with four fields. The options in each field depend on the ones above it. Building a widget from scratch | Field | What it sets | | - | - | | **Show me** | The subject: Findings, Assets, Vulnerabilities, Alerts, Compliance, Risk score, Top risks, or Usage | | **Broken down by** | The dimension, or `Nothing` for a single total. Findings break down by Severity, SLA status, Integration, Check, Service, or Resource type | | **Which integrations** | `Top 5`, `Top 10`, `Top 20`, or integrations you name. Appears only for dimensions that rank, such as Integration or Check | | **Shown as** | The rendering | `Shown as` offers different renderings depending on the breakdown. These are the ones findings offer: | Broken down by | Renderings | | - | - | | Severity | Tiles, Bars, Number, Trend | | SLA status | Bars, Number, Trend | | Integration | Table, Bars, Number, Trend | | Check | List, Bars, Number | | Service, Resource type | Bars, Number | | `Nothing` | Number, Change, Trend, Table | On `Nothing`, the last rendering is the records themselves, drawn the way the subject's own page draws them: `Table` for findings and vulnerabilities, `Cards` for assets and alerts. Choosing `Change` adds a **Compare to** field, which sets the comparison day: yesterday, or 7, 30, or 90 days ago. **Title** is generated from your answers. Type over it to set your own, or clear it to get the generated one back. *** ## Filtering a widget Below the fields is a filter row offering the same filters as the subject's own page. For findings that is status, severity, checks, framework, SLA status, environment, integration, asset group, provider, and resource type. For [assets](/guides/platform/assets/overview) and [vulnerabilities](/guides/platform/vulnerabilities) it is the filters those pages carry. Filters are set per widget, so two widgets on the same dashboard can show different parts of your environment. *** ## The global filter When a dashboard is someone's homepage, the filter in the top navigation bar narrows every widget that supports it. The editor does not show the filter, so what you see while building is the unfiltered dashboard. Widgets respond in one of three ways: * **Narrowed.** The widget's figures are scoped to the selection. * **Not filtered.** The widget shows a `Not filtered` label, with the reason in a tooltip. Unit consumption is measured against your subscription, which covers the whole tenant. Framework posture is calculated once for the whole tenant. Some metric histories are recorded per integration only, so they cannot be narrowed to an environment or asset group. * **Outside the global filter.** The widget is set to a different part of your environment than the selection. Its body is replaced by an empty state reading "This widget is set to a different part of your estate, so the global filter leaves it nothing to show." *** ## Setting a dashboard as a homepage `Assign as homepage` opens a panel where you add users and user groups. Changes save as you make them. Assigning a dashboard as a homepage Each row states its effect: how many members of a user group will land on the dashboard, and which dashboard it replaces for them. Plerion resolves a person's homepage in order: their own choice first, then their user group's, then the tenant default. Anyone can set their own under `Profile` > `Home dashboard`, which overrides what they inherit, and clear it to go back. A dashboard still called `Untitled` must be named before you can assign it. Deleting a dashboard that is somebody's homepage sends them back to the Plerion homepage, stops its email schedules, and removes its side navigation entries. *** ## Sharing a dashboard * **Email schedule** delivers the dashboard to an email integration on a repeating schedule. * **Save as PDF** exports what is on the canvas. * **Pin to navigation** adds the dashboard to your own side navigation. Other users are not affected. * **Duplicate** copies a saved dashboard and opens the copy.
